Here we spell out our policies, including copyright, disclosure, privacy (you are here), social media, and terms and conditions.

These apply when using  CASEScontact.org and CyTRAP Labs as well as ComMetrics webpages and web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or On-Demand hosted delivery of My.ComMetrics.com services.

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and service users; this policy sets out how we will treat your personal information.

1. What information do we collect?
We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

b) information about any transactions carried out with us on, or in relation to, our website(s), including information relating to any purchases you make of our goods or services;

2. Information about website visits – including cookies
We may collect information about you computer and your visits to our website(s), such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google undertakes not to associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies (i.e. in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking Tools > Internet Options > Privacy, and selecting ‘Block all cookies’ using the sliding selector).  This will still permit you to take advantage of our services (how to manage cookies with your browser)

If you have Adobe Flash installed on your computer (most computers do) and you use our audio or video players, Google Analytics will try to store some additional data on your computer. This data is known as a Local Shared Object or Flash cookie. This helps us to analyse the popularity of our media files. We can count the total number of times each file is played, how many people watch videos right to the end and how many people give up half way through. Adobe’s website offers tools to control Flash cookies on your computer.

3. Using your personal data
Personal data submitted through this website will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or other relevant parts of the website.

In addition to the uses identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may use your personal information to:

a) improve your browsing experience by personalizing the website;
b) send you information other than marketing communications that we think may be of interest to you by post, email or similar technology; and
c) provide other companies with statistical information about our users, without identifying any individual user.

We will not provide your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing without your express prior consent.

In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may disclose information about you:

Except as detailed in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

5. International data transfers
Information that we collect may be stored, processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable use of the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

We may transfer personal data to other companies of the group, and to other companies hired by CyTRAP Labs or CASEScontact.org to provide the services regulated by our terms and conditions, in accordance with our privacy policy.

Users located in the European Union should be aware that information you provide may be transferred to countries (including the United States, Japan and Australia) which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the EU. You expressly agree to such transfers.

6. Security of your personal data
We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure servers.

You are responsible for keeping your username and password confidential.

7. Policy amendments
We may update this privacy policy from time to time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

We may also notify you of changes to our privacy policy by email.

8. Your rights
You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information may be subject to payment of a fee (currently € 20).

You may instruct us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. In practice, you will usually either expressly agree in advance to our use of your personal data for marketing purposes, or we will provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of the use of your personal data for marketing purposes.

The default is to opt out: your data will not be used except to provide you with the service you subscribed to unless we are told otherwise (e.g., weekly newsletter and alerts) or the product/service you purchased with us.

9. Third-party websites
The website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party websites.
